Nestori The Elf

This is a series of stories I’m working on, which I’m thinking about compiling in to one big book of stories.

Nestori is one of Father Christmas’s elves who visited my kids when they were young. Even now there are signs he pops by. A few years ago Nestori left me a note which formed the basis of an article written in 2019 for NorfolkPlaces (NP) about greener stocking filler ideas.

As part of that article, I wrote the first story (more of a half-story really) where Nestori gets a mention. I waited until 2024 before I decided to revisit Nestori and add a new chapter to his story, again written for NorfolkPlaces.

The stories on the NP website are first cuts, hardly edited at all, and that is that way they’ll stay. They were published there to give NP readers something joyous for Christmas, and I had to knock them out quick! Normally I agonise over editing and rewriting short stories for months (even years) due to my perfectionist nature. I couldn’t do this on this occasion, but I intend to revisit these stories, polish and rewrite them and put them together with some more Nestori stories.

Here’s the links to the stories on the NorfolkPlaces website.

One of our Reindeer is Missing!

I hope you enjoy them. Keep an eye out for more from Nestori soon.
